From the date of establishment, we are continuously working on welfare and benefit of visually impaired people. We facilitate disable people with different personal development as well as economic development programs. We provide many upliftment classes like computer training, handicraft making training, Government Service Exam Preparation classes etc. for people with disabilities. We tried to provide time related programs and training to disable people. This organization always works on the benefit of visually impaired people. It's been more than 10 years, Gorkha Blind Association is contributing day and night to uplift not only living standard but also economical, education, social, cultural standard of visually impaired people of Gorkha district. This organization is collaborating with other different organizations for the overall development of people with disabilities. Now we are growing and after struggling for many years we have our own two buildings. We can operate various indoor and outdoor training and programs according to the requirement. We had to provide relief materials to the families affected by the earthquake disaster. Also, we had to provide different vocational as well as occupational training such as soap making training, mushroom cultivation training and Pustakari making training. We had also provided musical training, where many people were trained about playing Panche Baja. Similarly, we had to provide awareness training such as short SRHR training to the visually impaired women.
